Emily Irene VanCamp who initially was hoping to be professional dancer, became interested in acting after visiting her sister Katie on the set of the film Ladies Room. The actress began taking acting classes, and also landed guest spots on TV series from her home country of Canada. A few of the series she had starred in among other shows included Are You Afraid of the Dark? Radio Active and Dice. VanCamp's career took off after he was cast as Sam Dolan, a regular in the series WB Horror Mystery Glory Days.
